We offer national and international students a variety of business, health and social care, teacher training and management courses at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels. The college provides education in a friendly learning and academic environment. We have a range of study programmes available that vary in duration from six weeks to a full academic year. As a vocational training institution, LSME is acclaimed for its quality management systems. It has a dynamic team comprising academic tutors, administrative staff, and a quality assured management team.

LSME  Achievements and Accreditations

LSME has achieved great success in delivering business management and teacher training both here and abroad and has achieved a sound reputation and many notable accreditations. 

To further our aim in global education we have a wide network of partners here and abroad who support us strategically and have succeeded in achieving acceptance by the UK Border Agency as a Sponsor to support Tier 4 applications with an A Trusted status as part of the new Points Based System (PBS).

LSME is a fully accredited college and we have been highly commended by our own accreditation body, ASIC, for the delivery of Lifelong Learning teacher training courses which are accredited by OCR, Edexcel and NCFE.

Further, we are fully accredited for business and management courses by Edexcel, ABE and NCFE, and offer Health and Social Care courses which are accredited by Edexcel and NCFE.

LSME has well developed, popular and quality assured courses as follows:

• Business Management - Levels 3 to 7 and based around the Edexcel, ABE and NCFE programmes;
• Education and Teaching - Lifelong Learning (formerly FE) teacher training, including our own PGD based on DTLLS (accredited by OCR, Edexcel and NCFE);
• Health and Social Care - ABP level 7, BTEC course levels 4 and 5, and Vocational programme level 3 and 4 with a good supply of well qualified professionals, e.g. nurses from abroad who seek a platform for an international career;
• International and Business English - a full range of internationally recognised English courses, supporting our students to achieve within their respective career sectors; whether business, education or health and social care.

Business and Management

We have a range of courses from basic business and management (Level 3) to advanced management development (Level 7) and focusing on skills and achievements in the job. Thus we develop managers of the future with practical skills and furthermore we adapt the training to suit special areas of managerial role and specific sectors, such as Marketing, HR, Security etc. To achieve this we have a highly qualified group of tutors, all of whom are able to leverage their own personal track record in supporting our students. Our students generally find that the LSME global approach to business and management leads them to new levels in their careers.

Education and Teaching

The new and modern Lifelong Learning training initiative, based on the exciting changes in teacher training in Europe, is delivering Next Generation teachers/lecturers as well as supporting managers with a role in staff development. This provides career opportunities through the acquisition of sought after skills leading to a demand for our training. For example, there is a tremendous market for our training in teachers, graduates (including higher graduates) and managers. Our experience is that when these high academic achievers embark on the “action-based” skills in Lifelong Learning, their career opportunities are increased dramatically.

Health and Social Care

LSME is providing highly professional training in Health and Social Care, delivered by highly experienced health care professionals and in which the focus is on the latest skills that are required in diverse Health and Care settings.

In all cases the syllabus and programme is based on high quality accredited courses and including Levels 3, 4, 5 & 7 programmes leading to further higher graduate and post graduate course or careers in nursing in the UK.

Business and International English

In order to assist our students’ progress and support our local community, we have invested and developed in resources and courses in English with a specialfocus on the needs of people who are in or are seeking work in business or education. English is the language of international communication for study, research, business and industry and LSME are proud to be in a position to deliver a full range of internationally recognised English qualifications.
