CeMAPCeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice) training is the first step to take if you are looking to become a mortgage adviser either self-employed or employed. CeMAP training courses are widely recognised to be the fastest and most effective way to achieve success with these valuable mortgage qualifications.

To become successful on our CeMAP intensive courses or our home study programme, you need no academic qualifications whatsoever, nor do you need any industry experience. Unit 4: Mortgage Applications

  • Mortgage application from start to finish
  • Assessment of status
  • Assessment of security
  • Guarantors and additional security
  • Offer of advance to completion
  • Insurance

Unit 5: Mortgage Payment Methods and Products

  • Methods of repayment
  • Mortgage products and insurance

Unit 6: Mortgage Arrears and Post Completion Matters

  • Arrears, debt management and recovery
  • Other post completion matters
  • Further advances, second mortgage and bridge loan

CeMAP 3 : Assessment of Mortgage Advice Knowledge (Parts A, B  &  C)

You will work on case studies where you will apply your knowledge and information which you have learnt in CeMAP 1 and CeMAP 2.

This is by far the most common training option available in the market, with most CeMAP training companies providing no other alternative whatsoever. The usual format is as follows:

CeMAP1 will usually be taken first, although there are alternative strategies depending on the people involved.

We recommend that CeMAP delegates should spend between 40 and 60 hours of study on each of the three CeMAP Modules.

For those who would find it difficult to attend physical sessions or remain away from work, a home-based learning option might prove to be a better alternative for you. This will be more focussed on your learning needs.
